can anyone explain to me what they are? my friend has dc++ but its only for windows and he clains shackespeare is the mac version but what is it? is it like a limewire or what??

Ok, this is actually not too tough, and pretty cool stuff!
DC++ hubs are used to share files...see wikipedia to find out more.
Shakespeer is the prevalent client for OSX. Good stuff. Google it to download...Enjoy!
