Hello guys,
I have a pair of DDR3 memories (2x1GB) that came with my Unibody 13'. My friend has a Macbook Black (Core2Duo 2x512Mb DDR2) and I'd like to give these memories to him. Do you think it will work? DDR3 memory on his DDR2 Macbook?

ps: I know it would run on 667Mhz speed and not on 1066MHz. ;)

Thanks
G

No love...

I'm afraid that it won't work in your friends machine. DDR2 and DDR3 have differing number of pins. DDR2 has 200 pins and DDR3 has 204 pins.

yup alanbee is right, the two types are incompatible. it would be nice though :p
