De-Link OS and Productivity Teams

I was looking at the OS update mechanism of Apple. In my opinion, it is time Apple de-linked the OS releases and built-in productivity software (Mail, Preview etc.) This was many of the bugs can be squashed earlier and one does not have to wait until the next point release. Secondly, it allows for faster new-feature development of the products themselves. Just some thoughts.
