My deactivated iPhone 4 is still showing my phone number. Will a full DFU restore fix this, or will I need to take it into my carrier's store to have them clear it?

Deactivated iPhone still showing my phone number?

Ok, did a DFU Restore, and it's now not only showing still showing my number, but showing that it's activated! 
How do I get my number off of this iPhone?

Take the sim out, then do a full restore maybe?
