Dead 3G...Any way to restore?

About 3 months ago i cracked the screen on my 3G so i bought a replacement screen. In the process of taking off the cracked glass i accidentally ripped off one of the ribbon cables (pretty sure it's the one for charging because i can't charge it anymore).

So now i have a dead 3G with all my info on it and a perfect screen. What can i do with it?

Have it repaired by one of the fixit sites.

OR

Make a video of you shooting it, blending it, or lighting it on fire.

OR

Drop it from different heights and see at what height it finally cracks (purely for scientific reasons).
