I have (or had) a mid-2012 13" MacBook Air.

Then I spilled a glass of pop on it.

Although I did the best I could to minimize the damage (upside down, power off, clean externally, three days in rice) it will not power on. A diagnosis at the Apple Store says it needs the SSD, logic board, I/O board, and keyboard replacing.

Given the cost of the repair is so close to the cost of a newer model it does not seem worth it. There will always be doubt something else will go wrong, especially as in the 18 months I have owned it it has needed repairing thrice, plus a few other niggles.

So, given the parts known to be damaged, I am wondering how much I can get selling the rest for spares? It is otherwise in good cosmetic condition and the screen should still be working.

I saw an ad on Gumtree from someone saying they buy broken MacBooks so emailed listing the same broken components and was quoted £200. Is that good or would I be better putting it on eBay or are there better places to sell to?

Thanks.
