Hi Guyz,

Need some serious help; I was in the middle of a routine startup when the PowerBook get stuck at the grey screen, no apple logo or the beach ball….just the grey screen for almost 12 hours. I did what any one in my situation would do, promptly took it to a Mac specialist who informed me that the HD is dead, they replaced it…the computer is up and running, but everything I mean everything my apps (the one’s I paid for) photos, music , keychain and safari bookmarks are all gone. I had a data recovery expert here to have a look at it, problem is filevault was activated so it’s an encrypted user image and they cant recover the hole image, recovery process stops at 60% because of bad sectors. My question is there someone in US, a specialist who can recover the data or clone the user disk image, oh by the way I’m in Dubai – Middle East…don’t trust the guyz here to use the latest programmes.

Thanks in advance
