I have a 3 month old 2.1 ghz 13 inch white macbook that had coffee spilled and zapped the logic board. This is not covered under apple care so they tell me it'll cost $1200 to replace the logicboard!!!! The rest of the mac is in perfect condition... its brand new.

Is it worth it to sell for parts? If so where ?

Is there any suggestions for a cheaper replacement?

Thanks for your suggestions!

You can try to fix it yourself. Go to ifixit.com for a new logic board.

I'll second the iFixit suggestion.

I have also seen these sell on eBay, WITH stated bad logic boards for $500 and more, and some for less. Do a search. You may be surprised at what some are willing to pay for a "broken" Apple computer.
