Dead Mac Pro because of dead PSU?

My Mac Pro won't boot up - in fact, no light, no fans, and no power to the attached Cinema Display. It's completely dead. Power to the unit from wall socket is fine. I assume it's a blown PSU.

Before I take it into Apple, has anyone any idea what else could be responsible?

any LED status when you open the side door and look at the logic board? It's either the PSU or logic board

Very strange; followed your suggestion, pressed the power button - now it's fine again. Most weird!
