It's been about 3 months since I got my iPod touch, and two weeks after I got it, I picked it up from a table, and 2 inches from the table it slipped and it got a bump on the gray metal frame. No big deal. It was a small bump. Some days later it falls, and gets a big bump. Next day I drop it while I'm sleeping, and another day I notice another bump I hadn't seen. So the 4 corners of the frame have bumps that look rather bad.

I also recently discovered a dead pixel that appears and disappears randomly.

I was wondering if with this I could get my iPod replaced?

You may struggle because of the physical damage to the device, but it's worth a try I guess

Try search Incase Protective Cover for iPod touch. It will cover entirely the grey metal. So you will never see the bumps again. Just a suggestion if you couldn't get replacement. My iPod touch had scratch on that metal frame since the day I bought. I was able to change another iPod. But that particular iPod has bump also on the metal frame. I guess that metal frame will get quite annoying if it get scratches or bumps.

About the dead pixel, is it green color?

I'd bring it in and try, you have absolutely nothing to lose. I got my 4g iPod replaced a few years ago when I thought there was not shot. Go for it.
