iPhone 16 Pro Dead pixel - AppleCare/manufacturer warranty question

I randomly got one dead pixel on my 16 Pro a couple days ago. Didn’t drop it, just woke up and there it was next to the volume down button on the screen’s edge.

I have AppleCare+ but I’m seeing elsewhere that random pixel death without any phone damage is covered in full by Apple. Does anyone have experience with this? Going to Genius Bar Monday to get it “evaluated”.

Dead pixels are covered by AppleCare+
I had my iPad Pro M2 replaced because of a dead pixel back in July last year! 👍
