The town without George Bailey
I'm a photography newbie, so I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question.

I just bought an Olympus FE-280 camera. I noticed there are a few dead pixels clustered in one area on the camera's view screen.

I haven't had a chance to transfer the new photos I took to iPhoto yet. Will the dead pixels show up as empty spots on my digital photos when they're in iPhoto or when I print them?

I don't mind the dead pixels as long as I don't see dead pixels on the photograph.

As long as the Charged Coupling Device (CCD)--the part of the camera that processes the light coming through the lens--is not damaged, your pictures will look fine. Since you just bought the camera, you may want to exchange it for a new one though so that you don't have to look at a display with dead pixels.
