I just bought an iphone,(from a friend) and it still has warranty until December of 08' it has a whole area of pixels that still light up but are all grey in the screen id say its about an inch tall and 1/8th an inch think, solid grey. Would apple let me return the phone to get a refurb, or am I stuck with it. (I also think he unlocked it but I was going to activate it would they know that he did this) Thanks

That is a picture of the spot, I talked to someone from the 1800myiphone and they said that I have a activate it before I can talk to them, but I don't want to do that if I can't get a referb phone, any ideas?
