My friends powerbook, a 15" aluminum, won't start.
He installed virtual pc yesterday and today it won't work.

During installation it went into sleep mode, he woke it up, it finished installing, he closed the lid, and it worked for an hour. today it won't turn on at all. the fan runs, the sleep button light is on, and there is a blank screen.

any suggestions!?!?!?!?1

thanks,
r.

If the sleep light is on, sounds like it's just hung. Hold down the power button for several seconds, until the computer powers down, then try restarting.

Try starting form the OSX disks (hold down C on start up when they're inserted) and if you get in, then repair the disk using Disk Utility. :)
