Dead SSD?

Purchased this drive about a year ago. Its a 750GB OWC SSD.

Earlier today I put my computer to sleep with absolutely no problems, opened it up a few hours later and the hard drive isn't recognized anymore (I have one drive as the boot drive, that one is fine, but this one is my user folder/data). Is this just a dead drive or is there any other explanation or anything I can try to get it back up and running. Thanks.

Swap the drives over between the Optical and HDD bays and see if the problem states with the drive or the SATA connection (if it stays with the SATA connection you may have an unbootable system until you swap the boot drive back).

If you have an external USB drive then you could make a bootable on that, boot from it and see where the problem stays or moves to.

I pulled out the affected drive and verified that it works in an external enclosure. It seems to be one of the ribbon cables that isn't working (it's hooked up via an OWC Data Doubler). How can I figure out which one it is, or is that even possible?
