Dead USB Port?

Today I inserted a USB into my USB and the one on the right suddenly doesn't work. The left port works fine but the right port seems dead. I plugged my portal hard drive into the right port and I can hear the portable hard drive spinning (here is a light on it that indicates it's plugged in) but no sign of the drive showing up on my MBP whatsoever.

Could there something wrong with the logic board?

Yeah, it's only a month old.

Then take it to the Apple Store, if it's dead they'll need to replace the logic board

It depends, but if they need to replace the logic Board, 2 or 3 days

A complete computer replacement? That's pretty doubtful I'm afraid..

Just kinda pissed off that I already have to send in my MBP for repair after only a months use..

Why don't you try a PRAM reset before taking it to the store?

Do you have AppleCare? Try running techtool deluxe and see if it gets any errors.

No I don't unfortunately.

I've now also noticed that my screen isn't aligned properly when closed.. great..
