I had a perfectly working 8GB Kingston DTSE9. It was getting a bit small for my use, so I decided to use it for work instead, where 1GB is plenty. I plugged it into my Windows 7 machine, moved the contents onto the hard drive for safe keeping, formatted it, then tried to figure out how to start Bitlocker ToGo (required to use USB sticks at work). After wasting some time on this (without even getting it started, so that can't have killed the stick), I safely removed the stick. Later I plugged it in again, and it wasn't detected. I thought maybe it was something to do with Windows, but now I'm at home and my Air doesn't detect it either. What's gone wrong? Is there anything I can do to fix it? Disk Utility doesn't find it either.
