Has Apple given devs a deadline yet to optimise their apps for iPhone 12 and Max? Facebook Business Suit for example looks like crap on the iPhone 12 Pro. Some buttons are even hidden. I assume it won't be much better on the iPhone 12 Pro Max and apps will just be blown up from the iPhone 11 Pro Max aspect ratio

I remember when the XS Max was released, Apple gave them until March of the following year.

I can’t remember seeing a similar report on this side again.

I was wondering the exact same thing.

I remember back to the XS Max days, there was a sticky thread with apps that have been updated for the new resolutions.
I also remember that people were anticipating those updates, while this year, I have yet to see a complaint - apart from yours.
I remember not being thrilled with the fact that I had updated to the latest phone but my overall device experience was worse, due to that issue...

Facebook doesn't have the best reputation of updating their apps with the latest features, soon enough.
I don't have a FB profile so I don't care about the FB app, but Messenger and Instagram are my mostly used apps, so I'm thinking to wait before I buy, until at least these two are updated for the new phones.
My concern is how am I gonna know that they've been updated, as I don't see anyone posting about these things this year

I feel like Apple is entering Android territory with too many different aspect rations and devs not bothering to take advantage of it ...
