Just saw this, $1299 from Apple plus tax. $1199 BH Photo, no tax (for most), free shipping!

Hmmm... good deal! if they mark the 2.7 i5/8 GB/256 GB (this year's model) down by $100, I might actually regret picking up the 2.6 i5/8 GB/256 GB (2014 model) that I just picked up at Best Buy for $1124, before 6% tax.

Did you have them price match? Or coupon?

I would say it's worth returning. You're looking at less than $20 in difference? The upgraded SSD speeds (although most won't notice the improvement) and new touchpad are worth it IMO.

Bump for the deal still being valid

This saved me over $230 including local sales tax

Don't forget that best buy price matches with bhphotovideo - so you can walk into best buy and get this deal too.

Also best buy allows the movers coupon and student discount..which will be an extra 10% off and extra $50 off..

So exta $170 or so off this price..

Well then, looks like I'll be heading to best buy today....

Thanks for the info

Deal! - 2015 MacBook Pro 13.3" 2.7Ghz i5, 8GB, 128GB - $1199 at BHPhoto

Where I am, we have to pay tax on that total from Best Buy.

Yep, but if you either stop off at a post office and get the free movers packet, OR go online and fill out a change of address form for $1 (just use an old address, or a friends..) - you get a 10% off coupon, which more than takes care of the tax.

Also if you have a student .edu email - you get an extra $50 off coupon at Best Buy when you sign up..

Both take less than 10 min to do..

When I went to Best Buy recently, they would not stack the price match with the 10% off coupon. YMMV

This has a 128GB SSD though. They need to bump the 256. I don't need it but 128 is so small.

It's not for everyone, but it IS a great deal!

(You rarely save this much on Apple products a few weeks after release.)

I stream all my music (Spotify) and movies (iTunes), do the majority of my document creation on Google drive, and my 3D CAD files are stored online as well with Autodesk 360. Additionally, Photos for OS X is about to move my entire photo collection to the web.

Aaannnd just in case I have a 200GB iCloud Drive plan.

For the average user local storage isn't as critical as it used to be!

If you're in the cloud you'll be straight.

I just went and grabbed mine from best buy. 2015 128gb for 1,125. Awesome deal. I'll look into the rMB next year.

Thanks for all the great info.

If I upgrade, I'll be looking at the $1499 model (MF840LL/A), because the 128 GB SSD in the MF839LL/A (the one on sale) doesn't cut it for me. I need something larger than the 128 GB SSD, so in this case, I'd be looking at a $300 difference, and I do not really value the enhanced specs at that price ... computers are always getting better, and I'm not much of a gamer.

With the better SSDs speeds ... I don't think I'd notice the difference between 600 MB/s and 1.2 GB/s read/write speeds ... the 600 is already ridiculously fast. (I have a Samsung 840 Pro in my Mac Mini that goes about 400-500 MB/s and I'm already really happy with it)

And yes, I got the 2014 MBP (MGX82LL/A) for $1124 because of the 10% movers coupon (I am actually moving) and the student coupon, which stacked on top of the $200 discount Best Buy offered today. There's actually an official Best Buy post in the Best Buy forum where a CSA says that stacking the movers coupon and the student coupon is allowed, but you're not supposed to get the 2 coupons stacked on top of a price match against a Best Buy competitor. (If Best Buy drops their price over time, which I'm betting on with a clearance model, then Best Buy will price match their own prices and re-apply the coupon(s))

Seems dead now. Maybe they only do this stuff on Saturday when they are closed for holiday..

Maybe an error and they just corrected it when they opened back up. Either way I got my order in, hopefully they honor it.

But arent all those files still stored locally?

Nice service

Since I had ordered this last week, I emailed on Saturday and today they were nice enough to PA the item, even though it now appears to be back up to 1294$. NICE, that's why I end up buying a s.t. from BH

I'm thinking this price was definitely posted by B&H in error and they simply corrected it. That's way too much of a sale for something so new.
