Looking for a new 15" i5...just the base model (although one with a high-res antiglare screen would be nice). With student pricing a new one is $1700 + tax. I found this used one for $1525, which seems like a pretty good deal: http://www.cowboom.com/store/productDetails.cfm?contentID=708824

How legit is that site? Never bought apple products from anywhere but the Apple store before. Are there any problems with warranty or anything when buying from a third party?

Any other similar deals out there? Black Friday specials/coupons (obviously not to apple.com, but a third part site)?

cowboom is best buy operated. their used items are usually returns, or demo units.

Honestly, you'd be better off buying a brand new unit from Amazon. Their current price is just over $1700, plus free shipping and no tax. You won't get the hi-res screen, but you're guaranteed a new computer at a decent price.

Amazon charges sales tax in NY. :(

$200 is a big difference too...that covers the 8GB of RAM that's going to be bought simultaneously.
