I recently purchased a 13” M4 IPad from Best Buy. Got what I thought was a decent deal - 1040 for 512 model 17 battery charges (if that matters). I put Apple Care on and thought I would try it out. I am in LOVE with the screen, but am occasionally experiencing freezing in Safari. I’ve read there are some issues with freezing on IPad with keyboard attached, but for the money am disappointed that this is happening.

I’m torn between returning it or having it serviced under the warranty. Also, part of me wonders if it would make sense to wait for m5 and see if a model comes out with more ram (def can’t afford the 1tb model).

Has anyone here had this experience? Any advice will be appreciated.

I think this is a software issue that will probably be sorted through an update. I’ve too have read others having similar issues. I guess what I'm saying is that having it serviced may not bring about any other result.

Sounds like an issue with your backup. Can you set up as new and install selected apps? Also assuming you updated the iPad once set up?

I reset my new 11” and only installed selected apps when the device restarted. It only seems to freeze on my favorite word game. I’ve played the game for years, and others are playing without interruption. It worked flawlessly on my iPad Air. I’ll call Apple Support when I get some time to see if I can get it sorted. Decided I can’t live without an iPad so will have to live with it if they can’t fix it. The display and Face ID is quite an upgrade. It is updated to the most recent version.
