So after i installed Vista 64bit on my MBP i noticed that it would get really hot.

Especially when gaming cpu could get up to 80 *C before fans would start kicking in.

And idling at around 70 *C.

First of all windows bootcamp default fan speed is 1000 RPM, vs OS X 2000RPM.

I suggest you fix this by booting OS installing SMC speed fan and setting minimum fan speed to 2000 RPM. (this setting will be kept allso in windows)

But heres what really makes the difference. Undervolt with RM Clock.

After gaming for 5-6 hours straight my CPU never goes over 66 *C and in idle i sit around 50*C.

Im just gonna link a guide to Right Mark Clock

The overheating is true with the early 08 MBPs as well. Pretty sure it's just bad Apple drivers. Hopefully Snow Leopard (read: Boot Camp 3.0, which I'm sure will be in there) will change this.
