Amid the launch of brand-new iPads this week, there are quite a few deals on older models for users who don't mind purchasing previous generation devices. Along with these sales, you can also save a bit of money when pre-ordering the new iPad mini and iPad Air at Best Buy this week.

I'll buy an iPad Pro if the 256 GB version is at this price - the 512 GB another $50.

That's a great deal on the 10.5" iPP! Might suggest a family member or two picking one up. For most uses the difference in speakers/screen will be more evident than the difference in processor speed.

Which would you buy if both $499... old Pro or new Air?

I have the old Pro already. Don’t think I’d swap it.

Old Pro. 120hz ProMotion and quad speakers is worth it cause I pretty much just use an iPad for media viewing and web browsing so I don't care for an updated CPU or GPU.

BEWARE IF YOU BUY NEW IPADS.. a cracked or faulty display will mean a need for a complete replacement of the device.. with no respite once you’re out of warranty

my iPad Pro 10.5 suffers from a bright spot an inch from the home button which has affected many users as well.. an obvious hardware and manufacturing defect.. went down to the Apple store today and they said they can’t just fix iPad displays and have to get the whole device replaced for almost S$700..

So many people with the same issue!! 24 pages on macrumors!!!

very very disappointed in the brand and this is coming from a long time apple fan. Unreliable products being made nowadays

Little wonder why they discontinued this model.. they need a repair program ASAP

Verizon is offering $250 off the cellular version of the iPad mini 5 (probably the new iPad too, but didn't check) with a 2 year contract, so if you were going to get cellular service anyway it's a good deal.

Also, ABT offers $25 off if you sign up for newsletters and there's no sales tax.
