It's been a month since we last tracked a notable deal on the AirPods Max, but today Amazon has discounted the high-end headphones to $449.99, down from $549.00. This is one of the best deals we've seen in 2022 on the AirPods Max, and overall it's a second-best price.

Only Silver and Space Gray are available at $449.99, and you won't see this deal price until you reach the checkout screen and an automatic coupon worth $29.01 is applied to your order.

Note: You won't see the deal price until checkout.

If you're shopping for other AirPods models, you can also get the AirPods 2 for $99.99, the AirPods 3 for $149.99, and the AirPods Pro for $179.99. All of these sales are available on Amazon today.

We track sales for every model of the AirPods in our Best AirPods Deals guide, so be sure to bookmark that page while you shop around for the wireless headphones.

That is absolutely not a "deal"

I enjoy my pair, but they were gifted..

I'd not pay more than $350 for them

I don't think the Max's can actually do true lossless, even wired..

That said, I do enjoy them wired up to my 4th Gen iPod!
I am not saying they do "true lossless". I can say it is better than BlueTooth. For example, a nuanced song with many different instruments playing at the same time (timbre is important) can sound a bit muddy with Bluetooth but using the cable the muddiness is gone and the song is truer. This depends on the song and how important it is to differentiate instruments.

AR goggles are going to head down the same discounted path. Not needed, not wanted by most. Niche market.

It’s not better than Bluetooth. It is Bluetooth.

Well duh when using a wired it’s not Bluetooth. But without a wire it’s Bluetooth.
The comment you were replying to was saying that the sound quality on wired mode is much better than on BT, not that the BT on the Max is better than BT on other headphones.
