The first-generation AirPods Pro have been one of the most consistently discounted Apple products at Amazon over the past couple of years, seeing frequent discounts of at least $50 from their $249 list price. In fact, the 2021 revision with MagSafe charging case is currently available for $179.98, a savings of almost $70 from its original price.

But with new second-generation AirPods Pro available for pre-order now ahead of a launch next week, we've been keeping an eye out for any discounts on the latest model, and Amazon has just come through. It's a modest $9 discount that brings them down to $239.99, but for those looking to pick up a pair right around launch day, it could be the best initial discount we'll see.

The early discount before the new AirPods Pro have even launched is a good sign that Amazon will continue to be aggressive with pricing on the new model, but it may be a while before we see more substantial discounts on the order of those seen for previous models.

Amazon continues to have solid prices on several other AirPods models as well, including AirPods Max for $429.00 ($120 off) and AirPods 3 with the MagSafe charging case for $149.98 ($29 off), though the latter is seeing delayed shipping by a few weeks.

We track sales for every model of the AirPods in our Best AirPods Deals guide, so be sure to bookmark that page while you shop around for the wireless headphones.

Last week Amazon Australia accidentally posted AirPods Pro 2 available for preorder at AUD$319 instead of the RRP of AUD$399. An AUD$80 discount. (If you are wondering, in current USD and pre Goods and Services Tax standard price is USD$244 and discount price is USD$194)

Amazon AU had been selling first gen at a discount at AUD$319 for some months, so someone at Amazon AU forgot to change the price with the update. It was quickly corrected back up to AUD$399, although I expect a horde got the new APP2 at a great price as it got posted on a few bargain websites. I had already preordered through the Apple store so I wasn’t buying a second lot.

Even at standard price APP2 seems immune to the Apple Australia Tax, which for many key Apple products (phones, macs) seem to have an exchange rate risk of about 10¢ (Or 10%) built into the price.

I got them 80AUD off on Amazon Australia, 319AUD down from 399AUD. Quite a deal. I know AirPods are one of the most discounted things Apple sells, but for a preorder discount it was pretty good! Price error probably, but I think Amazon will honour it.

The deal was back today so I am not sure if it was an accident.

Those who ordered last week did not get any update from Amazon on the possible pricing error, and I have ordered a pair today.

These are tempting, but the $9 difference won't likely move too many people.
Yeah if they have a prime day deal for $199 that would move units for sure.

I know I would bug others for Christmas gift.
