Ehh all time low on Amazon was cheaper than that on the 11. Straight from Amazon was $949 plus tax. And I know it’s taboo to talk about tigerdirect but if you price matched, the price was lower on the 12.9 as well.

Does anyone really use 1 or 2 TB on iPads or phones? either they realize no one wants them at that capacity and offering discounts or they are wanting to reduce inventory for possibly a foldable iPad or perhaps the goggles that could take some customers away from the iPad. Personally i like the idea of the goggles to be able to use some sort of sketch up app and visualize some ideas for creation. If that's possible with them, but if they are just entertainment devices to watch movies on flights and such, then I may wait a long while for them. Also I would hate for them to just be used to make you watch commercials. So sick of every app pushing products unless you pay the ransom.

For how much Apple charges for every minor storage or RAM upgrade, these 1TB and 2TB models should cost even less to even count as "real" or realistic rebate.

Amazing how powerful the M2 iPads are. My 2012 Mac mini struggles to convert a slideshow to a video and maxes out at 1080p. It takes a vary long time (hour or more) to output a 13 minute video of a slideshow. My M2 iPad makes a 4k version of the slideshow in about 10 minutes as I recall. The slideshow contains a lot of high resolution photos so it is cool to see them on a big 4k screen. It isn't a masterpiece viral video but it brings back great memories of a trip with my Elle..

Just can’t do it. “Discounts” . . . . really? Something deep in my bones says NO to these products/prices. I mean, we all have our price points and product use needs. But this feels silly.

I can’t even fathom buying anything but the base configuration of an iPad pro… why would you even need that much local storage. Almost all uses for an iPad involve cloud storage apps

When the 6th Gen Air went on sale at Amazon and was announced here I was intrigued. I placed an order on January 31st and the original delivery was expected to be 2/17. A long wait to be sure, but I figured it was because they were gathering up the ones not selling as well and sending them around the nation and felt like the wait seemed reasonable. Last Wednesday I got a notice that delivery is now the 28th. Kind of a bummer.

who ever buys those stupid ipad pros?
I do, iPad Pro 12.9” 256GB M1. Been great and trusty to date.

Yeah! It has become my permanent extended screen + Wacom style screen while working with a “too many screens” desktop or sometimes I just have secondary apps (outlook, teams, Slack, etc) so that they don’t bother with a single CPU cycle my desktop (Teams can hog several gigabytes of RAM at times, can you believe that, for a freaking chat app and the worst one at that)
On the weekends it’s the perfect tutorials, podcasts, “quick episode of something” machine.

I got a 256GB version which I kinda regretted because of the 2TB iCloud provided by Apple One… however, once it’s start to be used with Affinity Photo/Designer, procreate, getting videos, saving tutorials (example, Gumroad is not as advanced as YouTube, sometimes it’s better to save them), etc I can see the use case for at least more than 64GB. Not too sure about 1TB though except that it doubles the RAM.

I’m sorry but I’m not going to pay over $1000 for a device I can’t use for anything more than a glorified Instagram machine. Open it up and let users put VMs on it then we’ll talk. But now it’s like putting a governor on a porch engine and not allowing it to go over 55.

I have iPad mini 6 and it does what it is best for - occasional games, movies and surfing.
For serious work there is 32GB RAM desk station and M2 Air.

I had an original iPad Pro 8 inch and since then I am not using them. I understand people have various interests and needs but for me iPad Pro does not have much usage cases, so it is ok.

I own the iPad Pro M1 1TB.
It will be my last iPad.
Next time I will buy a Microsoft Surface Pro. It is far ahaed.
iPad OS - what a bad caricature of an OS. It is not even possible to use the ProDisplay XDR as a second extended monitor ...
Except Surface sales are tanking. Who knows how much longer Microsoft will support the product line?

As a portrait photographer I have both the iPad pro M2 as well as an M1 MB Pro 14. For my workflow the iPad is a game changer for on-screen editing using Affinity Photo. It's either a Wacom tablet on my MB Pro or direct image editing on the tablet. The majority of time these days I prefer the latter. Yes iOS is weak and the complaints I hear here are valid. But it more than does the job for me personally. Your results may vary based on your use case.
