I ended up snapping up a surface pro 6 for $450 off at BH. I just can’t justify the Apple tax even with these sales

Yesterday B&H had the 12.9" iPad Pro (Mid 2017, 64GB, Wi-Fi + 4G LTE, Space Gray) on sale for $599 (it's now $649).

That was just an amazing price - got the 12.9 inch. Can see the prices being really low on the last gen iPad Pro's to clear inventory, but the regular iPad price is crazy low too. Hopefully sales are not falling off a cliff to make these happen (do not want the iPad to go away) - but with the big phones it's become much less necessary to pull an iPad out to see stuff.

Is there anything like this deal available in the UK?
It seems US-based retailers frequently offer deals that aren’t replicated by shops on the majority of the planet. (Either that, or MacRumors doesn’t post about them?)

nice work - it was a great deal, even if you have to buy the pencil on top.

Dont worry. Even if sales are tanking Apple will keep them around as a nitche, neglected product line, much like they’ve done with desktop macs over the past 5 years.

Picked up one for $229.

That Slickdeals thread about the $229 is MASSIVE! Jeez! Everyone is trying to get one.

So, $329 regular price down to $229...instant buy for a 2018 iPad!

Best Buy, Amazon and others had it at this price as well on and off since Black Friday yeah? Seems like at this point anyone who doesn't have an iPad should have one lol

Yup, when Rogers in Canada dropped the iPad down to $469 for the 128gb LTE, I jumped on it and never looked back. Awesome deal and an awesome tablet. Use mine every single day

Those were the 2017 iPads, not the 2018. Cheapest I've seen on the 2018 models (except for a limited quantity Black Friday doorbuster at $259) has been $279.

Quite. That 2018 iPad price is pretty amazing. We could do with a similar reduction here too.
Meanwhile outside the US, in the rest of the world... (nothing).

Gotta love how in the US, not only is a massive percentage knocked-off the price from third party retailers, but most are out of state buyers, so pay zero sales tax too.

Meanwhile virtually EVERYWHERE else, it's full price including VAT, please. So we pay our taxes, and get the privilege of full pricing.
