This is tempting but I have the 4. I'll wait until the Apple Watch 7. I expect the 6 to have some really nice features and the 7 to have some minor feature over the 6 but together at the same time would be a great upgrade for the 4.

I'm waiting for the 6 - I have a 3, the 5 is compelling, but I have a feeling the 6 will have a few extra health bells and whistles.

Well, that's if I have a job in a few months ;)
I am in the same boat, mate.
The series 3 that I have was having battery drain issue when the new Watch OS was released and my watch has not been updated. The watch couldn't update without getting the new iOS first, looks like that caused the battery drain.

Waiting for a redesign or drop in OS support, whichever comes first.

although it’s a good deal for first time Awatch owners.

My 4 is more than sufficient for anything I want/need. I suspect I will keep it until the battery tanks, or it gets smashed.

I've had it over a year, and it has been a good product...

Be careful with ordering. At the end of March I ordered the 5 because it was time 😉 and my battery is running low and my heart faster
but now it has been held by UPS: package held due to global health events.
Package was out for delivery on Friday April 3rd in the morning. I waited till noon and checked time to time if someone was coming because since the pandemic they don't ring the bell and didn't want to risk someone could steal my package: no signature requested even if the package in the past would have required it.

After noon I received another email saying that it was going to be held for delivery at a later date.WHEN?! I talked to UPS this morning after a long wait : couldn't hear a word of the girl on the phone. She was speaking so soft.Nothing new from her. Nice but USELESS. Frustration: if I knew I wouldn't bought it .
Looked online to find if someone else had the same problem and found a solution : plenty of people with the same issue and different packages
Not the right time to buy online or anywhere else , sadly it's not helping the economy 😟

Same here with 4. I fought the urge to upgrade to the 3 from my 0 when they dropped WatchOS support & I’m really glad to have held off a year.

Seems like a good deal, not sure if it's a 'great' deal though. I'm on S4 ... skipping out on the S5 and will wait to see what comes of 2020 before I make any jumps.

You’re right, it’s not a ‘great deal’, especially since you are a Series 4 owner, I would not upgrade to the Series 5, unless you really want the AOD and compass. Plus, we’re already approximately five months from the Series 6 potential launch, which is likely to include native sleep tracking and other additional features.

I went from a 0 to a 1 to a 4, and was very tempted by the 5 for the AOD, but I too am holding out until the 6 as the lack of a faster CPU or different sensors [other than compass] didn't make the upgrade worthwhile. I rarely jump on yearly upgrades for things, but the Watch is a life changer.

That said, I wonder if series 6 will be delayed until closer to the winter - if the iPhone is delayed until then, and iOS 14 is delayed until then, I could see the Watch being delayed too [since watchOS 7 would require iOS 14]. Regardless, I am very much looking forward to the series 6. If one is on anything lower than the 4, I highly recommend this Amazon deal, as the CPU is lightning fast and makes using the device a joy.

I think Apple will release Apple Watch 6 this or next month.
It will have oximeter that is in great need ATM.
Imagine an event where Apple says that this year they are releasing the Watch 6 months earlier because they think it has this oximeter that people need now more than ever.
Every news channel would show this watch and everybody will want it now.
It will be a huge success if Apple releases it now.

someone mentioned in the 2020 iPad shipment thread that this past weekend was a national holiday in China so that may affect your order as it did a lot of iPad 2020 purchasers. Take it with a grain of salt and co wider you have your health, this is a 1st world probablemente you’re complaining about.
