An all-time low price on the white version of Apple's 12.9-inch iPad Pro Magic Keyboard has returned to Amazon this week, available for $293.00, down from $349.00. The keyboard is in stock and sold directly from Amazon, and only the US English version of the accessory is receiving the discount.

This is a second-best deal on the 12.9-inch Magic Keyboard, and for the white color option it's the lowest price we've ever seen. Only Amazon is offering this sale, and you won't need any coupon code to see the deal.

This is the new 2021 model of the Magic Keyboard, so it's been optimized to fit the slightly thicker 2021 12.9-inch iPad Pro with mini-LED display, but it also fits the 2018 and 2020 models. It features a full QWERTY keyboard, trackpad, USB-C port for charging, backlit keys, and a floating cantilever design.

The iPad Pro attaches magnetically to the keyboard with passthrough charging for the iPad Pro via its Smart Connector, and the Magic Keyboard provides front and back protection when closed.

the best advice that I can give is to buy a skin from dbrand if you get one of these. The white one in particular is prone to black scuff marks. The skins are so easy to apply and feel and look really good.

Still way too expensive. I can get a MBA for $850 these days and this keyboard cover costs 1/3 of an entire laptop??? It makes no sense to anyone except to the bean counters at Apple.
The iPad Pro Magic Keyboard is designed for numerous generations. The logic is… you can keep the keyboard and just upgrade your iPad Pro, reducing the overall expense of the 350 dollars over 4-5 iPad Pro replacements. It’s a good keyboard case, I use it daily and have since it was released, it is now on its 2nd iPad Pro… So, for me the concept is working great. The only problem is: the Current iPad Pro is almost too good, and it is going to take a lot to make me upgrade again.

It is also just a really good setup… and works well for almost everything. If I’m working on something that i can’t run on the iPad i remote into my Mac from my iPad. I play my PS5 in remote on my iPad(with full haptic feedback on a PS5 controller), Xbox series X as well. (Mac mini, PS5, and SeriesX = ~$1500.000)

I have a lot of options, 12.9” iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard and enough backup, is an almost perfect combination. Only complaint really is Mac Mini’s lack of HDMI 2.1… everything else works almost perfect.

Wonder if there are rumors of a redesigned magic keyboard for the new iPad Pro given the rumors of a new design for the latter?.

I like the iPad too but what you’re describing is a specific use case and rationalizing paying an exorbitant amount of money for an iPad accessory. People can rationalize their decisions a thousand different ways as the wise Thomas Sowell said.

Here’s why your rationalization of using the keyboard for multiple generations isn’t universal… I went from a 13” iPad pro to the redesigned iPad Pro 11” but I realized I prefer the 13” form factor so my next iPad will be a 13”. Further, my overpriced apple keyboard cover is starting to fall apart… the egdes are fraying and the rubber on the hinge is literally falling off. It’s made of the same material as the smart keyboard so you may be disappointed to learn that it’s not nearly as durable as you think it is. It’s also possible I may not buy another iPad since MBA is now a much better value prop and offer similar benefits (battery life, instant on, etc.).

I would not bet on that. I have the last generation and it does not fit properly on the new. If the new one lasts 3 gens I'd be surprised.

I agree - mine is showing wear markets, but then again it never gets stored in a protective case in my bag. Then again, I only pais around $150 as a no box open item with a tsicke Ron teh back. A little GoBeGone and the sticker was off and teh case looked fine. As much as I like it I won't pay ~$300 I get a new iPad at some point and mine doesn't fit.

I keep looking out for that. The current model is useless off the desk. I can't understand why they couldn't have taken the intelligent step of making it foldable back on itself so you don't need to take it off when using the iPad as a tablet. It's one of the most half-baked designs to come out of Apple.

I had the old one too, it fit Just fine, that was just hype(if you sat it with the keyboard side up, when it was closed, the magnets weren’t quite strong enough to keep it closed completely). This form is going to be standard for atleast another two generations, possibly longer. Apple, doesn’t have plans to make changes beyond increasing the screen size in the current form factor for the 12.9” iPad Pro(still more than a generation out from this).

I get what your saying, i have wear marks too, but i use it without any other protection, it has been my main system since it released, i travel with it a lot, and it is in amazingly good shape; I’m not easy on my stuff.

I’m not saying it is a great price value: I’m saying there is a reason people buy this thing, and it is because it is so darn useful. Apple Planned it to be a multi-generational attachment for the iPad Pro, yes it is expensive; but, it also works extremely well and should last a few more generations(yes it is always possible Apple might pivot).

Still really overpriced. No thanks.

I would buy it for $149. Unfortunately that will never happen as they charge $99 for a frickin cheap feeling plastic folio that shows every single finger print from every time I've ever touched it, even when I have clean hands which is 95% of the time. I remember buying an entirely enclosed Apple Leather Smart Case for iPad Air 2 for $79 in 2015. It was the best iPad case ever made.

I prefer the Smart Keyboard - much more lightweight, and I never am using my iPad and think “I need a trackpad!”
Agree. I prefer an Apple magic keyboard with a ZuguCase. I have one in my bag just in case; I don't use it often. It is nice, though, to see that there are multiple setups available.

I had one and it is a nice keyboard, but it really adds to the bulk of the iPad. Worse, the iPad Pro is no substitute for a macbook for my work. In the end, I sent the keyboard back and use an M1 Air for most of my office type work. The weight is the same or lighter. Someday, maybe, they will make the iPad Pro as useful for regular office type tasks as a MacBook.

Use mine everyday, love it.

It’s hard using a laptop now because I like how close the screen is.

You mean because it is very top heavy?

Then you'd have keys on the back that would have to have a hinge sensor to turn them o; and still be a pain when holding the iPad.

Agree. The 13 m1 MacBook Air is the better choice for those thinking of using iPad Pro 12.9 plus $300-350 magic keyboard

I have first gen iPad Pro 11 I use with my old magic keyboard and a cheap Targus case and Magic Mouse if I wanted to do some work on iPad

But I prefer mba m1 for “real work”. I have m1 Mac mini with 34 inch ultrawide monitor for home office as well.

Just don’t find any use for 12.9 inch iPad Pro with iPad os limitations.

About 80% of my workflow is with a 2020 12.9 and this keyboard- but white? Not a chance. The grey one is pretty worn looking after a year and a half, I can’t imagine how bad white would be by now.
