This has been going on for over a week now. Even my local Walmart, Target & Best Buy has been selling it for $299.

I pretty much never saw series 4 deals when it was the latest

now, I guess only recently, seeing $100 off everywhere as the norm

I realize a series 6 is inevitable, but in the fall.. so what gives? People keeping money closer to their pocket with coronavirus or something? Or market saturation or poor sales or what

Maybe if you were paying full price. But Series 6 will most undoubtedly start at Series 5 prices or higher, so if you need a watch this is a great deal.

Exactly.. when the Series 6 comes out if it retains the same pricing then it will be $429 for the cheapest 44mm for a good 4+ months until its on sale.

They’ve traditionally had large discounts the weeks before Mother’s and Father’s Days.

Hey Team,

I am not Apple Watch user (yet). Is this good time? Or could I wait for Black Friday to buy a series 5? or just wait for series 6?

Honestly, considering the next one coming in around September, maybe not the best idea to get this one yet.

Do you really believe that AW6 will offer $100 more value than the AW5 at this price? I seriously doubt that.

And I’m still waiting on glucose monitoring, blood pressue monitoring, blood oxygen sensors, etc., etc., and every other health improvement that has been rumored since the watch first arrived. If we take a look outside of Apple’s garden, there isn’t anything significant that the AW can do that other smartwatches can already do. Point being, these hardware updates are long in the tooth.

Got my Series 5 after last week’s $100 off post. Always-on is absolutely worth the upgrade for me, and i don’t think i can go back!

What price do you think the AW 5 left over stock will be after AW 6 is launched?

Between $349-399 to clear inventory with sales at some retailers (Amazon, B&H) hitting $299. Any remaining stock after a month or so will be recycled or become buybacks.

Over what are you disagreeing with my original post?

Costco also has a $100 discount. I figure I'd wait until the Series 6 is announced. With all of these sales going on, the release must be imminent.

I bought a 44mm space grey with cellular for 429 at Walmart over the weekend. Oddly they could not price match in store from their own website 🙄 So I’m waiting on it to be shipped now
