Verizon today is discounting the Apple Pencil 2 to $103.99, down from $129.00. Although the Verizon website displays the accessory at a price of $109.99, once you head to checkout you'll see the $103.99 sale price applied automatically in your cart.

This sale is offering a second-best price for the Apple Pencil 2, and it's a match of the previous best price seen on the accessory earlier in 2021. We very rarely see the Apple Pencil 2 dip below this sale price, so if you've been on the hunt for one at a discount, now's a great time to buy.

Keep up with all of this week's best discounts on Apple products and related accessories in our dedicated Apple Deals roundup.

If I could use the pencil to fully(!) interact with an iPad, I might consider an Apple Pencil. Until then I’ll stick to my 3rd party pencil for 1/5th of the price.
Agree. It is so irritating that I can’t do things like double tap the pencil to go back while working in safari the way you can with competitors tablets and styluses. The tablet and pencil hardware support smart gestures, but Apple refuses to implement them anywhere but in drawing/editing programs, the latter of which is limited at best.

High price, and few features. I went with an Adonit pen that supports tilt and even has a few side buttons, and it was still less than half the price of the Apple pen...

What’s the catch? Can anyone walk in-store and buy it or do you have to be a Verizon customer?

No catch. They had this same sale back in April. I bought one and I am not a personal Verizon customer (though my work phone is but that had nothing to do with anything).

This require a major shift of how Apple perceives user base, iOS development and hardware design to pull it off. Until then, we are still going to enjoy the same dumbed down hardware or amazing hardware paired with dumbed down software.

I bought Apple Pencil in full price two years ago, and even today, the only use for it is creating random doodles, signing some documents and poking around the iPadOS out of boredom.

I bought this, and almost never use it.

I was gonna try and draw, but figured out I was better off sticking to working on motorcycles....
