The Apple Pencil 2 has hit a new all-time low price on Amazon today, available for $85.00, down from $129.00. The accessory is in stock and available to deliver as soon as May 20 for Prime delivery, or May 24 for free delivery.

The Apple Pencil 2 is compatible with the following iPads: iPad mini (6th generation), iPad Air (4th generation and later), 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd generation and later), and 11-inch iPad Pro (1st generation and later). The second generation Apple Pencil is a perfect accessory for anyone planning to use the new Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro apps coming to the iPad.

If you have the newest iPad Pro models, the second-generation Apple Pencil can now be detected while hovering up to 12mm above the display. This allows users to see a preview of their drawing before they make it, and with Scribble text fields automatically expand when the pencil gets near the screen.

Good price! Wondering if this means the Apple Pencil 3 is arriving soon...

Not necessarily. Every couple of months.... Amazon keeps baiting a low price of $89 for a couple days. And then it instantly brings it back up to full price of $129. They've been doing this for at least a year now.

Remember: this is Amazon's price. This is NOT Apple's pricing. Apple has not budged on their $129 price for the Pencil 2.

same, I'm scared to death they're going to overthink/ruin the next one. I really don't think they can make it better than this.
They’ll find a way to make it both better and worse, like they (and pretty much all companies) do with all their products. Consumer products always gotta be changing for better or worse (usually overall better but not always) to get people to keep buying.

I hope Pencil 3 is coming. One feature it could have is a microphone. The top of the Pencil could also be touch enabled.

The hover feature is great with my Pencil 2 and 12.9" M2 iPad Pro 👏

Wouldn’t it be cool if the Apple Pencil could work with the iPhone?

Impressive. That's Pencil 1 pricing territory.
Speaking of... I'm looking for "lowest price yet" on Pencil 1 - daughter broke the tip of her Pencil last week. She uses it daily. Oops!

I love my Pencil 2/iPad mini 6 combo. Curious what they can dow with P3. As someone above mentioned, P2 is so perfect....

That seems like a software feature that could have been enabled on my m1. I love it too and really wish I had it but sadly it’s not worth upgrading my m1 12.9in for. Maybe if trade in deals were better.

Ok price… but I bought my Apple Pencil 2 back in December of 2018 for $90. It was an open box purchase from Best Buy. I guess someone returned it because they didn’t see how it was worth the price that they paid. 4.5 years later and it still works like new largely due to the fact that I only use it about 4x a year.
