Apple's 10th generation 64GB Wi-Fi iPad is on sale for $399.00 today on Amazon, down from $449.00. Amazon has all four colors at this price, including Blue, Pink, Silver, and Yellow.

This is an overall second-best price on the 2022 iPad, but an all-time low price has not appeared since late September. Amazon has a delivery estimate ranging from October 19 to October 22 for most models.

You can also get the 256GB Wi-Fi model on sale for $549.00 ($50 off), the 64GB cellular model for $549.00 ($50 off), and the 256GB cellular model for $699.00 ($50 off). All of these sales are also second-best prices on the 10th generation iPad, with delivery estimates for late October.

The 10th generation iPad is compatible with Apple's new Apple Pencil, which was just announced today. The new model includes a USB-C port hidden behind a sliding cap and it runs at a cheaper price of $79. The new Apple Pencil won't launch until early November.

Despite its limitations... it's not a bad tablet if you're not going to buy the keyboard case (thats just far too expensive and it would make better sense to buy a refurbished or second hand iPad Air and Magic Keyboard).. and the new Apple Pencil will work far better with this than the positively ancient gen 1 pencil.

I wonder what the price will be when they remove the 9th gen and update this form factor to the a15 chip. While they need that lower price point, I can't see them dropping this below $379?

My daughter absolutely loves her pink one.

I am a bit confused with the iPad lineup. I did the compare and I was like maybe I understand but on the Apple Pencil page it said let's find the right model for you and it looked like there were half a dozen showing.

On the apple pencil page they at least put in a decent grid comparing all 3 apple pencils and which ipads they are compatible with. Scroll down to the bottom i think that will be key to not confuse people.

They are really decent tablets... I think the colours are excellent. And if you compare them to other companies offerings.. the quality of the Apple tablet shows...

Yes, it may not have OLED or the best screen... but it's a solid tablet that will last for years.

Interestingly, the iPad 10th gen has just lost its ”New” label on the Apple website..

perhaps an update is on the way after all….
Sometimes they do this and it's another 6 plus months before another update is on its way.

For example M2 MacBook Air (13 inch) lost its 'New' label when the 15 inch version was released. But I think it's Spring 2024 at the earliest we will see any update. Maybe not until WWDC 2024 (i.e a year since the 15 inch release and a good point to align both to M3 or whatever they decide).

It’s commendable they made the grid, but seeing it all at once still makes you think WTF.

Since iPad 10 is no longer “new” on Apple site does it mean we will actually have iPad 11 soon?

I think 399 is a fair price... for an iPad with a minimum of 128GB of storage. I wouldn't doubt the cost differential for Apple to move from 64GB to 128GB rounds to a buck.

Far better is the repeatedly on sale iPad 9th gen for $249 which even still has an 3.5mm audio port.

Yeah, I bought one a year ago new for $420, and despite all of the hate the iPad 10 gets, it's a pretty good tablet at a fair price. I primarily use it on vacation for media consumption, browsing and email. The M2 MBA is my primary device. I prefer the MBA to iPad for multi-tasking and productivity apps. Nevertheless, I have no regrets with the iPad 10.

Good deal. With no new iPads being launched this month/year, this can be a safe buy.
