We've been tracking an ongoing series of discounts across Apple's entire MacBook Air lineup in the wake of the 15-inch model announced at WWDC earlier this month. This week, B&H Photo has a new all-time low price on the 256GB 13.6-inch MacBook Air, priced at $949.00, down from $1,099.00.

This beats the previous record low on this computer by about $50, and B&H Photo only has it in Midnight. The deal will also end tonight at 10:59 p.m. Central Time, so if you're interested be sure to place your order soon.

B&H Photo also has the 512GB model for $1,249.00, down from $1,399.00. This is a solid second-best price on the higher storage model. If you're on the hunt for more discounts, be sure to visit our Apple Deals roundup where we recap the best Apple-related bargains of the past week.

Can anyone tell me if this Air is capable of supporting two external monitors? I know it wouldn't be natively, as there aren't enough ports, but if I got one of those hub devices, would it work? Or is the machine simply not capable? Thanks in advance

MacBook Air remains one of the best values on Apple's entire price list. My brother just upgraded his Mid 2011... 12 years of faithful service. Working fine, he just wanted a more modern OS. Absolutely unheard of in computing.
My late 2012 iMac is still my main machine. Holding out for a long awaited iMac refresh....

I bet the replacement iMac won't last as long!

I wonder if it makes economic sense for Apple to bring more people into the fold by offering the M1 MacBook Air at a price of $799.00 U.S. or a little less?

Is this the new 13.6" Air with silently updated Bluetooth 5.3 or the pre-WWDC model with Bluetooth 5.0?

In theory, you can drive a native 6K, plus 3x 4Ks and 6x 1080 displays via DisplayLink, over a single cable.

MBA -> CalDigit Element Hub -> Native Display & Dell 3100 Hub(s) (up to three w/ native display on same hub, maybe 1 more without).

DisplayLink gets a lot of grief, but 1080 displays feel native, even with video playback. 4k displays lag a little bit but are fine for coding & text editing.

I have two client-provided 2020 13" MBPs I use every day in similar fashion; (one Intel, one AS/M1). The setup: Element -> Native XDR & D3100 driving 2x 1080 displays & 1x 4K. Having 1 cable makes switching between work laptops a breeze, and even the aging & anemic Intel machine handles the additional system load just fine.

$949 would’ve been a slightly fairer price when it first went on sale last year, but Tim Cook is a greedy jerk who doesn’t give a damn about the fact that so many people can’t afford his extortionate prices.
