It's been a few months since we've seen all-time low prices appear for Apple's 2022 iPad, and today Amazon has finally introduced some of the first major deals of the year on the tablet. Below you'll find record low deals across both Wi-Fi and cellular models of the 10.9-inch iPad, as well as a new sale on Apple Pencil 2.

iPad

Starting with the 64GB Wi-Fi iPad, you can get this tablet for $399.00, down from $449.00. It's available in Pink and Yellow at this price, which is the best price we've ever tracked on the 2022 iPad.

The 256GB Wi-Fi iPad is on sale for $549.00, down from $599.00, and it's only available in the Silver color. Just like the 64GB option, this is a match of the all-time low price on this version of the 2022 iPad.

Moving to the cellular options, you'll find the 64GB cellular iPad on sale for $549.00, down from $599.00. Amazon has all four colors of this iPad on sale at this best-ever price, and they're all in stock and ready to ship out today directly from the retailer.

Then there is the 256GB cellular iPad, which Amazon has for $699.00, down from $749.00. This one is available in Silver and Blue color options, and has delivery date estimates of mid-February for most places in the United States.

Apple Pencil 2

Lastly, we're tracking a fresh deal on the Apple Pencil 2, which is available for $89.99, down from $129.00. This is a match of the best price we've ever seen on the Apple Pencil 2 on Amazon.

Readers should note that the Apple Pencil 2 is not compatible with Apple's 2022 iPad. That tablet is only compatible with the Apple Pencil 1. To use the Apple Pencil 2, you'll need one of the following Apple tablets: iPad mini (6th generation), iPad Air (4th and 5th generation), 12.9-inch iPad Pro (3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th generations), or 11-inch iPad Pro (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations)

It was good for this article to point out that the Apple Pencil 2 won't work with the iPads that are on sale. I know it's a case of "don't shoot the messenger", but it would be nice if 1st gen Pencils were on sale as well. Then again, the iPads aren't really all that great even with those discounts. I would still recommend to others they get the 9th gen iPads over these :\

2021 9th gen iPad is £200 cheaper!
Yes, and…? It's an entirely different device.

Obviously, you think the 10th gen is overpriced, but comparing the price to the 9th gen makes no sense. It's an interesting product, with some compromises, for sure. If you like the form factor of the Air and don't need compatibility with Pencil 2 and the Magic Keyboard, it's a great product that slots in nicely between the 9th gen iPad and the iPad Air. Personally, I love my Pencil 2, so I'm happy with my iPad Air.

entirely different device? really? its an iPad. slight design update. no home button. almost twice the price. most reviewers say buy the 9th gen. wonder why...

I’ve had a 2018 iPad Pro since release, and last week I decided to try the 10th Gen iPad with the kickstand keyboard (mainly because I liked the idea of the kickstand). The 10th Gen was heavier and lacked several features compared to my 5 year old pro. I started reading what others had to say, and ended up purchasing a Logitech Combo Touch keyboard for my Pro. 10th Gen returned today! I’d highly recommend considering the Combo Touch with an older Pro over the 10th Gen.

I picked up a 2021 last month for $375 Canadian. the 2022 was/is $600. Sure the 2022 is better, but there's just nothing there to justify the price increase. It's more than 50% more expensive. And the 2022 is too close in price to an Air or a refurb Pro. If I wanted a more expensive iPad, it still makes no sense to buy a 2022 basic model.
