If in 6 months Apple releases a new base iPad A12 64GB, those buying now the A10 will regret it very much.

Even the iPhone SE now has an A13 and 64GB.

Hey my XR has 64GB and it’s plenty of space for my needs.
Yeah, my iPhone 8 Plus has only 64GB too, and I don't use half of it!
I use much more storage on my iPad than on my iPhone.

In a 32GB iPad full of apps, the user will have a maximum of 15GB storage for data (photos, videos, downloaded films etc).

This week I downloaded an Apple TV+ 50min film on my iPad, it was a 6GB download for less than 1 hour of film!

EDIT: look this screenshot from the Camera app, a 4K 60fps video has ~400MB/min = 24GB/hour.

If the 32GB iPad owner record a 1 hour 4K 60fps video on his iPhone, he will not be able to download it to the 32GB iPad due to the lack of storage.

I do not record in anymode but standard video on my phone. I use a Canon camcorder mostly for video since it’s much nicer than a phone and it’s dedicated only for video.

How light?
Using it to watch Youtube on Safari?
Let's be realistic here...

I agree Apple should make 64GB the min of storage space for any device.

32 GB is plenty for some people. My iPad 6th generation is 32 GB with cellular. I have a cheap keyboard case for it I bought on Amazon and it suits my needs plenty. I mostly use it for work (email, texting and internet). I use it for documents (creating documents and editing them). I also use it to VPN into the office and use Remote Desktop. During this COVID-19 stuff when working from home, it works great for video meetings sitting on my desk (FaceTime, Skype, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams). I have YouTube TV on it for when I want to stream TV, like when out grilling, as well as a few other streaming apps. When flying, it will hold a couple movies just fine, as well as books for reading. It is my go to device at home for online shopping, or quickly looking something up.

I realize everyone's needs are different, but for those bashing 32 GB, it works just fine.

Been using a 32GB entry level iPad for 2 years and it's been awesome for:
YouTube
Safari
Digital Books
Note taking
Even downloading a handful of movies for plane rides.

I'm not taking pictures or videos on it, no huge files.

Much nicer to watch videos on larger screen.
Not worth the price when considering we can get a much larger TV to stream from the phone.
Just poked around on Best Buy, a LG 43" 4K smart TV is only $250.

Hey, I rarely if ever follow links to Sale Pricing on Apple products. However, we were using an iPad for our POS at one of our retail stores. We've cracked the screen and need a replacement. All the iPads have been easily $459 or higher for the cellular version. Amazon was already sold out. But, Best Buy had them for $379, and I grabbed it!

So, Thank You for sharing that pricing.

That may be hard to put in my car for lunch breaks.

I have the 32gb iPad 10.2. It’s fine for me as I mostly stream. It’s been a workhorse since my daughter uses it for school. the chrome tablet the school sent is slow and clunky. The iPad has been really great in this current situation.
