Amazon has Apple's M1 MacBook Air on sale this week, with all in stock and ready to ship today. You can save up to $100 on these 2020 notebooks, and you'll find the 256GB model matching its holiday season price tag.

Prices start at $899.00 for the 256GB model, down from $999.00, and available colors are Space Gray, Silver, and Gold. This isn't the lowest we've ever seen the 256GB model go, but it's one of the more consistent deals on this model over the past few months.

You can get the 512GB model for $1,149.00, down from $1,249.00. This is the same price we saw around the holidays, and all three colors are again available on Amazon.

It’s like there was an over supply of the M1 Air procured by Amazon. They are always having deals on it along with M1 MBP. I learned my lesson to not be so quick. When the second gen iMac 32 inch launches I am waiting 7 months before I buy so I can get a good deal. Besides, Apple seems to be upgrading every other year.

Actually it's a great deal, because 8 gigs and the M1 is more than enough for the average person.
i'm an average user, all i have is 10-15 chrome tabs and some MS files like word and excel, and i'm pushing 9gb, and before you argue safari, i prefer chrome because it sync up with my preferences on my pc desktop, plus i had more crashes on safari than on chrome.

Bigger issue for me would be the Safari bug

Do you have an 8gb version of the M1?

I have two and they’re both very responsive with lots of tabs open.

not personally but at work they have couple. theres couple occasions were i noticed memory suppression became more apparent and the system start caching to the memory. ofcourse its not as noticeable as back in the HD days, but wearing down the ssd is never a good thing.
plus with the very expansive osx taking more and more ram for default system, its never a good idea for longevity to be that conservative. an anecdotal evidence of mine would be my 2013 mba with 4gb of ram, by 2016 it was practically unusable.

Only the base model 256GB and 512GB storage models are sold by Amazon, the versions with upgraded memory and storage are being sold by weird looking third party vendors and appear to be refurbs at that. I would not trust a refurb from a third party, but thats just me.

2022 Macbook Air is going to be released early April/May...They will include the Silver and Space Grey to the line up with the other pastel colours.
