Apple's new M2 MacBook Air has begun seeing some of its first notable discounts on B&H Photo today, including markdowns on both 256GB and 512GB models. Amazon did have the 256GB model on sale earlier, but it quickly expired, so B&H Photo is currently the only major retailer with the sale.

You can get the 256GB M2 MacBook Air in Starlight for $1,099.00, down from $1,199.00. Only the Starlight color is on sale at this price, and it's an all-time low price on this brand new 2022 model of the MacBook Air.

Secondly, the 512GB M2 MacBook Air is on sale for $1,399.00, down from $1,499.00. This one is only available in Space Gray, and it's also another record low price on the M2 MacBook Air.

You can find even more discounts on other MacBooks by visiting our Best Deals guide for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. In this guide we track the steepest discounts for the newest MacBook models every week, so be sure to bookmark it and check back often if you're shopping for a new Apple notebook.

great laptops crippled by small internal drives... I can't even imagine working with less than a terabyte. my 512 at work runs out of scratch disc space for photoshop all the time and I dont even store files on it. at home I use a 4TB ssd for everything.
Then order one with 2TB or stick with the MacBook Pro and order 8TB.

And I can't imagine paying for a terabyte when I'm only using 135GB on my MacBook. Luckily for you, there's an upgrade option for the SSD if you need more.

You’d be surprised how many people don’t need 1TB, it’s overkill for 80% of users

8GB of memory is just enough to open Safari and Teams at the same time. Unless you use a 4K display with scaling on.

I love my Starlight MBA. I think Starlight will be a sleeper hit.

I agree. Starlight is the best one. But let people take the midnight colour so the Starlight version gets discounted more. So let's keep quiet about the Starlight version.

If it drops to $999, I might actually accept the slow SSD.
