Deals on Apple's line of MagSafe accessories have come and gone throughout the holiday season, and one of the last remaining solid deals before Christmas is on the regular MagSafe Charger. Amazon has this accessory for $29.99, down from $39.00, which is a solid second-best price.

Getting Apple's products shipped and delivered in time for Christmas is getting harder as we near the 25th, and the MagSafe Charger is one of the last Apple accessories on Amazon with a delivery date before Christmas and a solid discount.

The MagSafe Battery Pack and MagSafe Duo Charger also have delivery dates before Christmas, but neither have particularly steep discounts on Amazon as of writing. Be sure to visit our full Deals Roundup to shop for even more Apple-related products and accessories.

Ha ha ha ha ha. Great gift? You must be having a laugh?

Terrible product. Terrible design.

Just like Apple's rubbish lightning cables, this useless product will also fray and fail where the rubber cable joins the pick
I see people complain about this a lot, and yet it has never happened to me with any Apple cable, dating back to iPhone 3GS. Sounds like user error to me.

Not sure what you mean, I have a AW since series 3 and this is working great, same for my gf.

I bought a cheap one on Amazon and it’s… cheap. Charge much slower too.

This is one Apple product I can never justify. I got a 3-in-1 iPhone/Watch/AirPods stationary charger for $3 more on Amazon. It looks nicer, is easier to set your phone on, I didn’t have to buy a separate usb-c plug with it (making it cheaper), and it charges three devices at once instead of just one.

Unless you really like being able to charge your phone while you use it or want the fastest wireless charging, I don’t see why you’d choose this instead. Also, they seem to get REALLY hot. Just go into an Apple Store and pick up an iPhone, and chances are, it’ll be hot or at least warm on the back.

A>L definitely have frayed, but never a C>L or Magsafe. Price and cable length are my issues with the MagSafe

I wish Apple would revise MagSafe Duo Charger, which to me is an ideal charger in terms of form factor and functionality (just not the price). All it needs are:
  • Fast charging for Apple Watch
  • Accommodate larger camera bump (without a gap)
  • USB-C instead of Lightning

Yeah. A lot of people just snatch the cables/power bricks from the wall just by yanking the cable and then are surprised when they don’t last…

Maybe if your cable remains static in one place you get a bit more longevity.

But any one who travels and the cables are rolled up or goes through any bending, these cables just fray and fail.

Most good cables these days are braided.

Some of apples newer cables like on some Mac products are finally becoming braided too.

Nothing to do with snatching or yanking. This rubber material Apple use has very poor bending fatigue tolerances which ultimately results in fatigue cracks and failure.

The fraying is caused by repeated bending stresses that exceed the local fatigue strength.

Apple purposely designs this to be very low so the cables fray, then fail, meaning more purchases by us, and more money for Apple!

Yet they’re always playing the environmentally friendly card in their manufacturing process 🧐

Hopefully the new braided cables last longer then. They seem to be higher/better quality than the prior cables, at least the one that I received with my iPad Pro seems to be…
