Amazon today is discounting Apple's Smart Keyboard Folio for the third and fourth-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro. You can get this accessory for $119.97, down from $199.00, which represents the lowest price we've ever tracked for this accessory.

The Smart Keyboard Folio is designed to work with Apple's 12.9-inch iPad Pro and includes a full-size keyboard, without any need to be charged separately. When closed, it also acts as a case that protects the front and back of the iPad Pro.

If you're shopping around for an iPad Pro itself, check out our post from earlier this week, highlighting sales across Apple's entire iPad lineup. Currently, you can get a 12.9-inch iPad Pro from $929.00 on Amazon, down from $999.00.

For even more iPad deals, head to our full Best Deals guide for iPad. In that guide we track the best discounts online for iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air, and iPad Pro.

Update: You can also get the 11-Inch Smart Keyboard Folio on sale for $99.97, down from $179.00. This model fits both the 11-inch iPad Pro and the new 10.9-inch iPad Air.

The magic iPad keyboard is so good I’m not sure I can recommend the folio. Even at this price.
I prefer the folio because of the weight, or lack thereof. I tried the magic keyboard, and it adds so much weight and bulk to the iPad. I did not add it up, but with the folio keyboard, my 11" iPad Pro was close to my 13" MBP. So I sent back the Magic Keyboard and still use the Folio keyboard. The only thing it is missing for my usage is backlit keys.

Since third-party alternative exist that have backlighting I imagine Apple may not be selling too many. I have one, and I wish I had bothered to notice that it didn't have backlighting. I don't know what it is with Apple and backlit keyboards. They seem to think that, if it isn't a laptop, you never use it in low light situation.

I agree about the weight but I can’t use the folio anymore. To me it feels like cold memory foam. I much prefer the throw on the magic keyboard.

This is great. I just returned my SKF because even with a 10% discount it wasn’t worth $161+tax to me. I enjoyed the MKC too, but that wasn’t worth $269+tax either. I can stomach $100 for this.

Actually may pick one up at this price. I have one for 1st gen 12.9" and 10.5" (only paid ~$50 on sale) so I know what I'm getting into. The magic keyboard is nice, but too expensive for my use case.

That’s an amazing price for an amazing device. I recommend it if you don’t have it.
I think you’re overselling it a bit. Don’t know about it being an amazing device or even that amazing of a price even with this discount ;)

Lack of backlighting, unresponsive keys (especially the space bar) and how quickly this thing starts to show wear and tear make it a hard pass for me. Even at this price I’d rather get a more expensive 3rd party folio, sorry.

I love my folio keyboard with my Pro 11” from 2018. Keyboard functions wonderfully and looks just as new as when I got it in 2018. And I daily use this iPad as a laptop replacement.

Would definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to deal with the heft of the Smart Keyboard or the price.
