eBay this week is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a new coupon that takes 25 percent off 25 brands on the website from eligible sellers. As with all eBay purchases, this means that some of the products in the sale aren't being sold from first party sources, and might be used or refurbished.

Note: MacRumors is an affiliate partner with eBay. When you click a link and make a purchase, we may receive a small payment, which helps us keep the site running.

Brands include Apple, Beats, Dyson, Samsung, Case Mate, HP, and many more. You can shop on eBay and use the coupon code PARTYFOR25 to get the 25 percent discount. No minimum purchase is required, but the sale is capped at a maximum value of $100 and the coupon does not support auction-style listings.

Some Apple devices with potential for the extra 25 percent savings include AirPods with Wireless Charging Case, Apple TV 4K, Apple Watch, Apple's various cable accessories, official iPhone cases, and more. Just to reiterate, these Apple products are all being sold by third party resellers on eBay, and vary from new to used condition.

The eBay 25th anniversary sale will last through Monday, September 7 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The coupon can only be used once per customer. Be sure to visit eBay's website to browse all of the products that support the coupon, and head to our full Deals Roundup to get caught up with all of the latest deals and discounts that we've been tracking over the past week.

Just picked up an additional 4th gen Apple TV unit (don't care if seller refurb, for under $100 shipped it's solid); I really want to get rid of Roku that I have been using on one of my TVs and also - Roku really sucks with no screen savers when inside of the apps like Netflix. I am getting an OLED TV for that location shortly and that will be important if someone pauses and walks away.

How does a seller refurbish a HomePod?

Comsidering picking one up between here and the Best Buy sale and concerned about the foam surrounding the HomePod, any potential wear on the sensitive fabrics encasing the ‘Pod.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Whether it is EBay, Amazon, Best Buy etc. I have never had an issue with refurbished products.🤷🏻‍♂️

🤦‍♂️ Just realized the AirPods I picked up are refurbished.

Got them for $85, I guess I can't complain. Wanted to get them to use as a wireless headset for phone calls while working.

eBay this week is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a new coupon...

Has it been 25 years already?

I guess that would explain their $25 off a $25.01 or more purchase coupon that went out this weekend.

HAPPY25

I've had nothing but problems. Cracked camera glass, high cycle count battery, dented Aluminum etc from ebay and Amazon refurbs that are supposedly "grade A" or "excellent like new". Best Buy has been okay so far, but I wouldn't trust any of them with a big Apple product purchase like a Mac or iPhone.

I didn't see any HomePod's as part of this 25% off sale. I checked early this morning when the deal went live.

Gross. EBay sellers can’t refurbish AirPods. They are just wiped on the outside.

Doesn't appear to work for iTunes cards.

Not complaining but that sure would've been cool.

Max benefit is $100 off. So anything $400 or less will give you your best bang for the buck. Great time to pick up an Apple Watch - I have purchased two refurbed Series 5 watches from authorized resellers and couldn't be happier so far.

me too. specially amazon. i tried buying a laptop from them and they were worse than used. completely beat up. one had stickers and barcodes (it was a lender laptop at some school). they weren't even clean. one had dirt all over the keyboard and the screen was greasy. i went through 3 before i gave up on amazon. you are better off buying Used, at least it is more honest. they didn't even send the right specs or color.

There are three Case Mate cases eligible for this coupon that fit the iPhone SE (2016). They're all from the same line of Case Mate cases, called Tough (IIRC; I closed that browser window 😐) Does anyone have an opinion on that line of cases?

Any limited seller deal is complete garbage. The only good deals are site-wide minus the usual gold coins, gift certificates, autos, etc kind of stuff.

A lot of products that sell as Amazon refurbs are from the same sellers who sell on ebay and walmart.com showing the listing as if they were sold by Amazon itself. I doubt Amazon even has anyone check them and just do returns when there is something wrong with a product. It's good that Amazon comes with a 90 days warranty for these but it's still too risky for me.

yeah. there is no quality control on amazon's part. it's really easier to buy used on craigslist.

Or worse, swap the case or something more shady.
Bought a black iPod touch and the serial number is a blue one...

Maybe its a fake and the serial number is just generated?

Welp, just had my AirPods delivered and surprise surprise they don’t work. I can listen to music but the microphone doesn’t work.
That was the whole point of getting them. Well that and the smaller case size compared to my Powerbeats pro.:(
