Woot is selling the 13-inch MacBook Pro with a 128GB SSD today for $899.99 in refurbished condition, down from Apple's price of $1,299.00 ($400 off). This model has a 1.4GHz Intel Core i5 processor and 8GB RAM, and first launched in mid 2019. Comparatively, Apple's own refurbished store is selling this model for $1,099.00.

For more storage, the same MacBook Pro with a 256GB SSD can be purchased for $1,029.99, down from $1,499.00. Both notebooks are available in either Space Gray or Silver, have the Touch Bar, and a 13-inch Retina Display.

You'll also get a one year Woot Warranty with purchase of the MacBook Pro. Woot notes that the notebooks have been repaired by professionals to be in proper working order, and they will come in a generic white box with Apple's USB-C power adapter and charge cable.

Woot is owned by Amazon, so Amazon Prime members can also get free shipping on all Woot orders. Be sure to visit Woot's homepage to shop for more flash deals, today including the LG Ultrafine 5K Monitor and Soundbar.

I'm tempted to jump on the 5K monitor, but since Apple hasn't released the updated 13" or hopefully 14" MBP I don't have a laptop compatible to connect it to yet! (hanging on with my 2015 13" MBP).

I am curious about this. What kind of vague agreement does Macrumors have with Woot? Does Woot have the leeway to pay or not pay depending upon the mood of its accountant that day? More likely it is determined by the value of the purchase. If so, why not say so. If they think Macrumors users would be more likely to buy something from Woot because Woot pays Macrumors, it defeats the purpose by saying that Macrumors MAY receive a small payment.

128gb... 2001 called and wants its storage back

I don't know where you got 128GB of storage as standard in 2001.

Most people were buying 30~40GB mechanical hard drives back in those days. The first MacBook Air had the option of a 64GB/128GB SSD in 2008, seven years later.

Also, even at this price, it still has the butterfly keyboard. No sale.

Is this Macbook Pro's i5 quad-core processor the same one as the 2020 Macbook Air i5 (the $100 upgrade over the base model)? If the Macbook Pro is still faster I may get this deal since it's screen is also better.

No, it’s a different processor.

(For anyone wondering, the quality of these products is the equivalent of eBay or Craigslist or FB Marketplace used devices.)

128 GB storage 😂😂😂

I just did some cleaning of my hard drive on my 2014 MBP, and I'm only actually using about 75GB. If I put my photos to the cloud only, that would free up another 38GB. So for someone with an iMac and a laptop, I could definitely see keeping photos for the iMac and running everything on the computer from the cloud

I would assume it's more something like, you click affiliate link A and then click affiliate link B, and then purchase. Different companies handle it differently as far as who gets the commission, link A or link B. I would also assume there are more situations like that as well, so it's not an iron-clad statement of click the link, make a purchase, and the affiliate gets a commission.

Glad it works for you; it doesn't work for many other people, it didn't work for me (MBA 13" mid 2013). I always had to free up space in order to install an update. Always had to move stuff to the external HDD to be able to save new files. 128 GB was useless if I wanted to have my archive for work on my daily driver. Note that I used a 64 GB Nifty Minidrive as my iTunes storage, had no pictures or videos on my MBA. Sometimes I didn't know wth took so much space. Glad I installed a 512 GB SSD, now I can install any app I want, without having to delete another one first; I can create and save as many files as I want, can use my archive and can use my external HDD for Time Machine only. Those 128 GB really crippled the device, one couldn't fully utilize it, if he wanted to do more than surfing and watching videos. There is no discussion that the upgrade of the base model to 256 GB was long overdue (without charging people absurd, horrendous sums).
