A pair of discounts on the AirPods and AirPods Pro are available right now on Amazon, offering the best prices of the year so far on each model.

AirPods 2

Apple's AirPods 2 have returned to $99.99 on Amazon, down from $129.00. This is still the best discount that we've tracked in 2022, and overall it's a solid second-best price on this version of the AirPods.

This is the model of AirPods that comes with the Wired Charging Case. Apple discontinued the AirPods 2 with the Wireless Charging Case so we haven't seen any notable deals on that accessory in months.

AirPods Pro with MagSafe

Secondly, Amazon is discounting the AirPods Pro with MagSafe Charging Case to $174.99, down from $249.00. This is another 2022 low price, and overall a second-best price on the AirPods Pro.

The headphones are in stock today, and they are shipped and sold directly by Amazon. The new AirPods Pro launched in 2021, and are essentially the same as the 2019 model with the addition of the new MagSafe Charging Case.

We track sales for every model of the AirPods in our Best AirPods Deals guide, so be sure to bookmark that page while you shop around for the wireless headphones.

I love my AP2s for laying in bed watching YouTube. The longer stems keep them in without worrying about losing one. APpro can die. I hate them so much. Worst apple purchase to date. AP3s are my daily users.

Why the hate with AirPods Pro?

I’ve never owned any but will soon be in the market.

Considering I usually have Bluetooth earphones in at least one of my ears the majority of the time my main selling point is long term comfort. AirPods Pro seem to be the choice for that but am so not a fan of the noise canceling and pass through features. I’ve tried only the AirPods Max at the Apple Store and really hate that feature. Not to mention they’re expensive but really my gripe w/ AP Max is they just feel heavy and tight for all day use.

Personally I feel I’d go w/ either AP2 or AP3.

Why don't you like the noise cancelling or pass through? I use my beats fit pro to mow the grass using ANC, and to ride my bike with the passthrough.

Something just doesn’t feel right about them using some frequency to ‘trick’ me into thinking loud sounds aren’t nearby. Whenever I mow the lawn I put earplugs in and forego listening to music for 15 minutes.

I feel I’d go with AP2 or AP3 but I’ve tried AP3 and I was underwhelmed by the spatial audio feature. Although I do like how they look above the AP2.

AP3s all day if I only had to choose one.
