Two models of the AirPods have returned to their 2022 all-time low prices today on Amazon, including the AirPods Pro with MagSafe and the AirPods 2. Discounts reach up to $75 off these models, and both are in stock and ready to ship today from Amazon.

AirPods Pro with MagSafe

Apple's AirPods Pro with MagSafe Charging Case is on sale for $174.00, down from $249.00. This price is a match of the 2022 low price on the AirPods Pro, and overall it's the second-best price we've ever tracked.

The headphones are in stock now on Amazon and ready to ship, with a delivery window between April 5-6. The new AirPods Pro launched in 2021, and are essentially the same as the 2019 model with the addition of the new MagSafe Charging Case.

AirPods 2

Secondly, Amazon has the AirPods 2 at $99.00, down from $129.00. We haven't seen the AirPods 2 return to this low of a price since early February, and at $99.00 it's only about $10 higher than the all-time low price seen during the holidays.

Thought about getting a replacement set of the AirPods 2 because my left one quit working, but you know what, I’ve got a working set of JBLs for $50 and that will do.

As an Airpods Pro owner (bought on sale at Xmas time), I'm still wondering if Apple has really done anything to resolve the issues of them starting to develop rattling sounds and distortion?

My pair is still ok so far, but I'm also only an occasional user of them and they're only 4 months old. One of my co-workers got a pair less than a year ago and hers failed in this manner, in one ear. I told her about the Apple recall on them for the issue, but the web page with the details makes it appear only older models are affected. In reality, it seems to be prone to happening to *any* Airpods Pro. She took hers to the Apple store and they put them on some sort of tester and determined both pods failed the test, so gave her a new set.

I get the impression this is a design flaw where something having to do with the noise cancelling starts failing and it winds up creating noises and distortion instead of cancelling background noise like it should? Apple seems to be trying to downplay the problem and is happy to just keep replacing them as they fail on people (until their warranty periods finally run out, and they can replace these with an updated model).
