Amazon is kicking off this week with new all-time low prices on a few models of the 2021 MacBook Pro. These sales offer up to $400 off Apple's MacBook Pro in both 14-inch and 16-inch display sizes.

14-inch MacBook Pro

For the 14-inch MacBook Pro, only the 10-core M1 Pro/1TB SSD model is on sale at $2,099.00, down from $2,499.00. This beats the previous low price by $100 and is now the best deal we've ever tracked.

Secondly, you can get the 10-Core M1 Pro/512GB 16-inch MacBook Pro for $2,099.00, down from $2,499.00. This one is only available in Space Gray on Amazon, and current delivery estimates put it for the first week of September.

On the higher end, the 10-Core M1 Pro/1TB 16-inch MacBook Pro is on sale for $2,299.00, down from $2,699.00. At $400 off, this is another brand new record low price on the 2021 MacBook Pro, and it's available in Silver and Space Gray.

They know that people are willing to pay much more for bigger storage rather than having to lug around external drives. Or they want you to pay for icloud storage. I love my mac, but getting annoyed at apple.

I remember just 5 months ago these were out of stock at most stores--not they're $400 off. I wonder if Apple over produced these when the supply chain was challenging and now they have a glut of stock. Regardless, this is a great deal. At this point, I would usually just wait for a new model but these prices are so good that an incremental spec bump might not be worth full price.

Yeah this one's a tough call. M2 upgrades so far seem to indicate it's not going to be a huge upgrade. This might be the best deal. Now I'm regretting getting the base model 14, could have gotten the upgrade for the same price. Of course I've enjoyed using it the last few months. At this price might still be worth it.

Scored the base model 14" MacBook Pro for $1599 over the weekend. Amazon ran out them by Sunday. So, for the same price as
a base MacBook Air M2 with 16GB and 512GB, I'm getting a way better laptop and it's just as light.

Proud mid 2015 15 inch MBP owner here. Last year was an "FINALLY" moment, but didn't buy. Held out as long as I could though. Unfortunately battery started swelling over the summer and a corner screw popped out. I guess it's time to buy, also happens to be tax holiday in NJ.

Perfect timing? Or fist shaking come October? We’ll see...

Getting rid of that excess inventory I see. In hindsight, I should have waited back in 2020 before upgrading to the M1 MBP. I think I could have gotten more bang for my buck in the long run. 2025 will likely be my next upgrade cycle.

I opted for a nearly fully loaded 16", with 4TB instead of 8TB SSD.

I have fleeting moments of buyers remorse when I think the M2 is coming. But then I realize that I don't come close to the limit of the one I've already had in my hands for a few months now.

Be wise and use the savings to get AppleCare. These laptops are VERY expensive to repair. Murphy's law is real with these laptops... parts will fail right after your warranty expires :)

If you need one now, then this is a great deal. I've had this exact spec. since launch and it is possibly the best laptop that I have ever owned. I don't say that lightly.

I'm on my 13" Mid 2012 & two of my screws have been gone for sometime & your post made me realize it's the battery.
Currently, no issues & I use it daily plugged in, so the unit is safe, but i have been waiting for a deal like this* to replace.

Unfortunately, with 4th quarter expenses arising for myself, I can't do it.

Hoping to upgrade one day!

im so tempted, and this is 100 dollars cheaper than the Air M2 with 16/512 specs.
If you can deal with the extra weight (not insignificant) then this machine is the better all-rounder.

The weight and heft is a subjective thing that only you can answer. I think the 14" is a very portable machine, but then I have had 15-16" MacBook Pros since about 2012. If you're coming from an Air or even a 13" MBP, then it's going to feel a bit chunky. Only you can decide if that's a dealbreaker or not.

Yep, its crazy how it's $500 extra for 512GB add'l SSD ($1599 versus $2099)

The 14 is just as light as an Air? I don't think so.

An absolutely great deal, especially with the 1GB drive. Expect a price hike with the M2 Pro and Max, like the price hike with the M2 13 and Air. This is the time to buy.

It didn't seem much of a difference at the Apple store. They were both attached to some security cable so comparing the weight was not optimal. The $1599 base model is now available at Best Buy too.
