Woot today has Apple's Magic Trackpad 2 on sale for $84.99 in new condition, down from $129.99. This is one of the best prices we've ever tracked on the accessory, and only Woot has the deal.

The Magic Trackpad 2 is in new condition and is in stock and ready to ship from Woot, with free shipping options available for Amazon Prime members. The Magic Trackpad 2 is compatible with Macs and iPads (running iPadOS 13.4 or later), and only the white color option is on sale today.

This appears to be the model that ships with a USB-A to Lightning cable, instead of the more current models that ship with USB-C to Lightning cables. If you're on the hunt for more discounts, be sure to visit our Apple Deals roundup where we recap the best Apple-related bargains of the past week.

If this could work on Windows without installing a 3rd party app/drivers (locked down work machine) I'd be all over this to use both on my Mac and Windows machines with my KVM.

My partner has this thing and I don't think there is a more maddening product to have to use. I guess people who like these things know a trick I don't. I can barely operate a Mac with one of these paired with the tiny non-numeric key keyboard Apple ships. Good old numeric keyboard and mouse for me.

if you have monitor over 120hz this isn’t worth it , pilling rate maxes 90-120hz and well you can feel it really lag feeling

Good deal, everyone has a USB a socket somewhere and this lasts about 30 days between charges.
Mine lasts way more than 30 days. Not sure how long exactly, but it's several months in between charges.

I got the trackpad along with my iMac in late 2015, but always also had a basic Logitech USB mouse connected as well. I've generally favored the trackpad unless I'm doing something that needs pixel precision with a mouse. A few months ago I went to use the mouse and realized it wasn't there; no idea what happened to it or how long it had been missing - at least months, if not a couple of years!

One of Apple's best products, and one of the few that truly doesn't need updates/redesigns (ok, a different color might be fun). It actually just works (which seems more rare these days!).

honestly... I have had the original Trackpad and the new one for a combined 10ish years and now I'm starting to dread it lol. it was cool for all of these years, but I just can't stand it anymore.

I wish I could just exchange it for a Magic Mouse at little extra cost. also wish they come out with a new Magic Mouse...

I have mine permanently connected to my Thunderbolt 3 dock so I can easily use it on both my work laptop and personal laptop when I switch between them.

Also, Magic Trackpad completely saves my wrist from crippling RSI. If I have to use a mouse for more than a few hours my wrist and index finger really feel it for a couple of days.

You can! The trackpad is worth much more than the mouse. Lots of people would give you their brand-new Magic Mouse for a used Magic Trackpad. Ask anyone who bought an iMac recently.
to be fair the magic mouse is utter turd lol, within 10 mins of use you get finger cramps.

it works somewhat, like there is no two fingers scrolls.
Yeah I think it's no scrolling and even no right clicking without the Windows drivers. So it's unfortunately pretty useless in my scenario, maybe I'll eventually work at a company using Macs again and I'll finally get one.

I'm not going to say, it's the most ergonomic it could be. But I haven't seen a mouse with smoother scrolling and swiping. And the accuracy with which you can move the mouse pointer is still a bit better than with a trackpad.

If you use this touchpad wireless on Bluetooth it's AWFUL. If you use it wired there's no lag. I'm currently running a 49" Ultrawide @ 120Hz and have switched mostly to the touch pad. The gestures are great. However I still have my Logitech PRO Superlight right next to it. This is in no way a replacement for a real mouse. It is a great addition.

i'll give you that, it does have pretty fantastic scrolling and swiping, however these two perks alone isn't enough to justify the awful ergonomic of this mouse. this is why i have a mouse+keyboard+trackpad combo, i'll 100% drop my current setup if apple decided to release a magic mouse 2.0 with better ergo.

I’ll swap you a nearly unused Magic Mouse (3-4 charing cycles) for a white Magic Trackpad. I’ll even pay for shipping.
