Samsung today kicked off its latest "Discover Samsung" sale, this one described as the first major discount event of the fall season. The sale officially begins Monday, September 11, but Samsung is providing early access to a select few products right now.

We've highlighted some of the best discounts in the list below, including deals on TVs, computer monitors, earbuds, and soundbars. These are early access deals, but should run the duration of the event, which lasts through September 17.

A highlight of the sale is a discount on the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 Smartphone, which Samsung has for $120 off select colors on the 512GB model. You can get it for $1,799.99, down from $1,919.99 in Phantom Black and Icy Blue.

There are more savings in the smartphone category as well, with bigger discounts appearing when you bundle a Samsung smartphone with tablets, smartwatches, and earbuds. You can save $230 on a Galaxy Tab S9, up to $250 on a Galaxy Watch6, and $180 on Galaxy Buds2 Pro when purchased at the same time as any of Samsung's smartphone devices.

In the early 2010's I had friends who had a Samsung TV with some kind of smooth motion thing. It was awful. TV shows looked like amateur theater productions. Movies sometimes looked out of place and their Samsung 5.1 surround system would have issues but unlike my Sony TV and HTIB, their remotes just wouldn't work seamlessly. I just can't get over how bad Samsung is and would never purchase one of their TVs no matter the price.

Every TV has that nauseating crap now, usually enabled by default. It's kind of a hallmark of watching TV at the home of a boomer that they obliviously have it on and everything looks insane (except sports, where it actually kind of makes sense).

Good news, you can turn it off very easily. Just google the name of the TV model and "disable smooth motion".

Getting fatigued by Samsung's confusing marketing acronyms to describe panel technology. Stop with the NEO, QUANTUM Dot, QLED nonsense.

It's an OLED, or it's an LED-lit LCD. Stop confusing people.
It really isn't that confusing. Every manufacturer has a verbage for different price points in each technology. Vizio M, P, V series. Quantum dot is just something in the QLED line of TVs. NEO is the upgraded version. I had to do some research anyway on what TV to buy regardless of what LMNOP is tagged on it.
Not sure if it's hypocricy or irony, but check out your humblebrag signature.

I like the frame tv we have but the prices have gotten out of hand, rising each year while other tvs drop in price.

That smooth motion was awful. Made everything look like a soap opera or live news feed.

I believe you could turn that off though.

I have a 4K Samsung TV that I use for streaming and playing the Switch, and it, too, has a bunch of gimmicky “features” enabled by default. Luckily, if you dig deep enough in Settings, they can be disabled.

Not directly related, but I just saw Amazon has the LG 32" 32UL500-W (4K, 60 Hz) monitor for $250 right now. Thinking about upgrading my 8-year-old dual Dell P2715Qs, upgrading both to 32" for $500 seems like a deal too good to pass up. They both still work fine but a little more real estate can't hurt. The Samsung 32" M8 is on sale for $400 right now, but the LGs seems like a better deal for similar specs. Anyone have this monitor?
