We kicked off the month of May with an exclusive partnership with OWC, which nets our readers an extra 20 percent off their purchase of select memory cards with the code MACRUMORS. This code lasts through the end of May, and right now OWC has another flash sale on memory cards going on that stacks with our promo code.

OWC's flash sale is offering up to an additional 40 percent off already-discounted memory cards, and the company says this sale will end later today. This discount stacks with our existing 20 percent off promo code (MACRUMORS), delivering major savings on these memory cards.

We've listed all of the memory cards on sale below. The higher storage memory cards will have the best discounts during this event, with as much as $175 off these cards. Remember to enter the promo code MACRUMORS on the cart page prior to checkout to get the total savings of each card.

Finally, my 16GB card only holds 4000 photos. Now I can get one that holds half a million.

It was removed in 2016 but they brought it back for the Luddites.
I just bought a quick micro SD card and a flush silver adapter for my 14" M1 Pro; I love it. So my 512GB internal has a 256GB supplemental staging area. It's not anywhere nears as fast of course, but I can throw jobs in it, or downloads, and when I need them I just copy them over.

I might buy a flush one myself

I wanted to grab some of the Ultras for my C70 but there's no field for entering promo codes at checkout through the link above. Any ideas?

EDIT - Nevermind, found it under a tiny tab on the cart page.

Too bad their shipping charges are ridiculous for a memory card that could probably be mailed with 2 postage stamps. 😂

Yeah. Other than for high end cameras there is little appeal. This is like a sale on floppy disks.
Raspberry Pis are a big use, so are esxi boot drives for servers, so are lots of 3d printers and other both hobbyist and professional equipment in that space, a huge use is storage on the nintendo switch, etc.

Just because you dont use them doesnt mean they’re not heavily used

whats special about the OWC products? I thought it was some other company product they just put OWC label on them

Code doesnt work at all for the 128GB card. It brings the Pro card from $49.99 to $19.49. Not $11.99

A "flash sale" is a product price markdown with little or no warning that is usually for a short time as well. There is nothing wrong with the sentence you quoted.
What? Read that quote again. The second half in particular. The first half was just there for context.

“This code lasts through the end of May, and right now OWC has going on that stacks with our promo code.”

That means that the Macrumors discount is in addition to OWC's already existing discount on the item. Basically means a double discount compared to the regular price.
