Pre-orders for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini kick off this Friday, November 6, at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time. Ahead of pre-orders, we have information on deals that shoppers will be able to take advantage of this week, as well as on launch day on Friday, November 13.

Some of the deals for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini are similar to ones that were offered for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro at launch last month, although there have been a few changes. Many of the deals for the new iPhone models launching tomorrow are also valid on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.

AT&T

AT&T will offer up to $700 off iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini (as well as 12 and 12 Pro) starting November 6. This offer is for new and existing customers, who must purchase an iPhone on a 30-month AT&T installment plan, subscribe to an unlimited plan, and trade in an eligible smartphone.

Once these qualifications are met, shoppers can get the iPhone 12 mini at no extra cost, the iPhone 12 Pro Max for $399 ($13.30/month for 30 months), the iPhone 12 Pro for $299 ($10/month for 30 months), or the iPhone 12 for $99 ($3.34/month for 30 months). Head to AT&T's wireless page on November 6 to get these deals.

Right now, you can get up to $800 off the iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro when trading in an eligible smartphone and adding a new line or upgrading an existing line. You'll get up to $800 in bill credits over 30 months. If you're interested in an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro, visit AT&T's website before the end of the week, as this offer will expire on Friday.

Verizon

Verizon is offering a few BOGO deals for the newest iPhone devices. To start, you can get one iPhone 12 Pro Max for free when you switch to Verizon, start a new service or add a new line on the Get More Unlimited plan, and purchase an iPhone 12 Pro or 12 Pro Max.

Similarly, you can get an iPhone 12 mini for free when you switch to Verizon, start a new service or add a new line on the Get More Unlimited plan, and purchase an iPhone 12 or 12 mini.

If you're an existing Verizon customer, you can get the iPhone 12 mini for as low as $12/month with select Unlimited plans. You'll also have to trade in your existing smartphone to see this offer, and once you qualify you'll see $412 in promo credit applied to your account over 24 months.

Verizon is also introducing a new 30-month Verizon Device Payment plan for the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max on November 6, which will be available in addition to the existing 24-month option. This will alter the monthly cost of each iPhone: the iPhone 12 Pro will cost $33.33/month vs $41.66/month on 24-month plans, while the iPhone 12 Pro Max will cost $36.66/month vs $45.83/month on 24-month plans.

T-Mobile

T-Mobile is offering anyone who switches to the carrier or adds a new line a chance to get the iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 mini for free. You'll also have to trade in an eligible smartphone and purchase the new device on a 30-month installment plan.

The base model of the iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available for $150 if you are switching to T-Mobile, have a smartphone to trade in, and purchase the new device on an installment plan. The iPhone 12 Pro will start at $50 for the base model.

Other T-Mobile deals include two iPhone 12 (or 12 Pro) models and two lines of unlimited 5G data for $100/month.

For those who just want one iPhone, T-Mobile is offering up to $850 off via 30 monthly credits if you switch to T-Mobile from another carrier. You'll also need to trade in an eligible device, including iPhone 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, XS, and XS Max.

There will also be a chance to save some money when you purchase either smartphone through Apple.com. With these offers, you can get an additional $150 trade-in credit when trading in an iPhone 8 or newer after buying the new iPhone 12 Pro Max or 12 mini.

Shoppers will just have to select T-Mobile or Sprint as their carrier on Apple.com, trade in the iPhone, and activate the new device on any T-Mobile/Sprint phone plan.

Whenever you're in the market for a new iPhone, be aware that we've been tracking the latest carrier deals in our Best iPhone Deals guide. This includes discounts and offers from AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and more.

My, is iPhone X considered that old already that it’s no longer an eligible device for trade in? Well sorry, I’m sticking it out to iOS 19 on this thing with my $17 per month 2GB data plan and free wi-if at home. It’s not like you got anywhere to go over the next two years anyway.

There is barely any benefit in these "offers", you have tu turn in your previous phone (which is by no means old) and sign a contract for 2 to 2.5 years... on top of that you have to pay for an unlimited plan which is around $75 to $95 dollars a month for 1 line (my case).

None of them are good offers, I am trading in my iPhone with Apple ($500 off) or a third-party company ($550 cash) and continue with my unlimited prepaid Verizon plan for $35 a month. No contract, no locked phone and better price.

It’s always better off reselling the phone privately than trading it in, regardless of how new it is.

The X is an eligible device, $440 trade in if your an existing customer or $550 if your new. Both need an unlimited plan and 24 month IUP..

I'm getting the iPhone Pro Max for myself and the iPhone Mini for the Mrs.

I wish carriers did loyalty discounts as well - I don't want to switch or open new lines and it would be nice to get $100 off for every five years you've been a customer or something...

T-mobile is offering $200 per line (up to 4 I think) for customers who have been an account holder for at least 5 years. Trade-in required though.

I am skipping upgrading through AT&T this year and going with Apple. Unfortunately my iPhone X is having screen issues so I won't be able to be able to trade it in but my alarm is set for Friday morning.

Anyone going from the 11 pro Max to the 12 pro Max on the IUP? Can I upgrade and if I change my mind, cancel and stick with the 11 Pro Max?

A "deal from AT&T" is an oxymoron if I ever heard one. :p
Like so many AT&T customers, I like them for their mostly good coverage and speed, hate them for their often abysmal customer service. The $700/$800 trade in deal is in my opinion, a very good deal. I’ve got an old X I can trade in (one of my kid’s phones - my old X) for the $700 credit on the 12PM, then I’ll pass my 11PM down to the boy, so he’ll get a nice upgrade and I’ll only add $13 a month for the 12PM. Already did the same deal with my wife’s XR, getting her a 12 Pro, which will be a great upgrade for her. Apple must have provided carriers some decent incentives to make these deals workable.

Do you know if that stacks with the Apple.com $150 bonus, so I could get $500 (trade-in) + $150 (trade-in bonus) + $200 (longtime customer bonus)?

It stacks with other T Mobile promotions. I’m under the impression you have to buy from T Mobile directly.

I have two Xs’ (is that the plural?) that we want to replace. However, the idea of a 30 month agreement for the mini is absurd. I’m frustrated that the “Uncarrier” has a similar promo as ATT.

Does anyone know what's the best deal available that allows me to upgrade my iPhone every year? I've been on Apple's iPhone upgrade program for a long time. It's not cheap but it's completely hassle free. I tried Verizon's upgrade program one year and it was a complete mess. They wouldn't allow me to upgrade the phone the following year. I had to be on chat and voice call w/ Verizon customer service for hours. I had to send them screen shots of what I signed up for that indicated I could upgrade every year before they agreed. Then when it came time to actually buy/upgrade the phone, they still didn't have a way for me to do it.

So, I've stuck w/ Apple's hassle free but pricey upgrade plan. If anyone knows a better solution, please share. Thank you!

A loyalty promotion should be a better offer than a new customer promo. Otherwise, it’s just hand waving.

i used to sell my iphones every year until apple did the trade in program. my phones were like brand new when i sold them. i miss those days.
I won’t even bother selling privately anymore since sites like Swappa started charging tax for used phones.

Apple is giving $260 for iPhone X 64GB, before whatever carrier discount there is.

PSA: If you're blowing money on one of the big carriers in the US, consider MVNOs like Mint Mobile. You still run on whatever network they buy their data from (T-Mobile for Mint) but save a ridiculous amount of money.

The catch - you must buy your phone and plan up front (but at least then it is yours). That being said, it has saved me approximately $1k/yr for two phones.
