Today we've tracked a collection of accessory sales across Woot and Amazon, including solid deals on Lightning cables, a USB-C MacBook dongle, and the SanDisk 256GB portable SSD. Additionally, there's a discount on the Apple Watch Series 3 at Walmart.

Woot has the AmazonBasics USB-A to Lightning Cable (2-pack, 3ft) for $19.99 in a variety of colors. If you need a longer cable, the 6ft option is available for $22.99 as well. In another Woot accessory sale, the Macally USB-C to USB-A dongle (2-pack) is on sale for $5.99, and Amazon Prime members can save an additional $3 at checkout, making it just $2.99.

These are new accessories that come with an Amazon Limited Lifetime Warranty and Macally 90 Day Warranty, respectively. The usual Woot and Amazon benefits apply, including free two day shipping for Amazon Prime members. You can find more information about each deal on Woot, and both are set to expire later tonight.

Over on Amazon, the SanDisk 250GB Portable SSD is on sale for $70.67, down from $99.99; and the 500GB option is on sale for $89.99, down from $169.99.

SanDisk's accessory is a rugged complement to Mac workstations, supporting high-speed transfers with up to 550MB/s read speeds and shock-resistant durability. In regards to discounts, the current prices are between $7 and $9 shy of the all-time-low prices that we've seen for each of these accessories on Amazon.

If you're shopping for a cheap Apple Watch, and don't mind investing in an older generation model, Walmart has the Apple Watch Series 3 (38mm GPS) for $179.00. This model is currently going for $199.00 at Apple and other resellers like B&H Photo, making Walmart's deal one of the best around and a solid entry level price for the Apple Watch.

Question for the more experienced...would putting a Windows 10 on it run fine with a 2015 MBPr?

Costco Sells the 1TB version of the SanDisk SSD regularly for $129. It comes in a grey and white enclosure instead of black and red, but is otherwise identical and a great deal.

Careful: the 1TB version of that Sandisk is incredibly slow. The 500GB is great.

I have the Sandisk 1TB version and it consistently gets reads/writes in the upper 400's. My T5 is mid 500's. it works great for me. I also have 2 of the 500gb versions in the field they have performed great.

Not really. Boot Camp doesn't support external drives for some reason, and the workarounds are clunky.

Was gonna say, those look like above-average prices for MFi-certified cables if anything. Anyway I refuse to buy anything but the $1.50 fakes from Daiso cause I feel like too much of a sucker paying Apple's cable royalties indirectly.

The other thing to be aware of with these is that -- at least on the new MacBook Air -- the thing blocks the second USB-C port you might want to be charging with. Apple didn't see fit to put them on opposite sides of the machine, and the ports are pretty close together.

Same with the 1TB and I’ve had it 80% full a couple of times. Some reviews say it overheats and write speeds drop under heavy load, I have not experienced any notable drops in performance editing 2k video from it or copying about 300GB of data to it from a much faster PCIe internal SSD. Maybe it does drop some, but given the price to performance, it’s still blows the pants off a spinning HDD.

SanDisk makes a pro version with an NVMe SSD and a metal enclosure for those with concerns about sustained speed or synthetic benchmarks.

Careful: the 1TB version of that SanDisk is incredibly slow. The 500GB is great.

Note: This is the "slow" (550 Mb/sec.) SanDisk Extreme model (SDSSDE60-500G-G25); the "fast" (1050 Mb/sec.) SanDisk Extreme PRO model (SDSSDE60-500G-A25) is $119. (On Amazon, that is.)

I completely agree. It is such a pain not being able to have two side by side. I've found smaller USB-C dongles that work together.
